Handmade ceramic teapot for gong-fu style brewing. Creamy kohiki (粉引 / powder) glaze on the outside, unglazed inside. The teapot has a ball filter at the spout. The beautiful part of this kohiki glaze is that with use over time, the creamy smooth white surface will develop a colored/crackle patina from the tannins in the tea.
Made by a studio in Jingdezhen, the historic pottery capital of China.

Please note that this teapot is meant for gong fu brewing and is thus a significantly smaller size than Western style teapots. Gong fu brewing uses a large amount of leaves to a small volume of water, combined with short steeping times. This style of brewing is the best way to obtain a delicious and intense flavour from quality tea leaves.
